NET Recruit are partnering with a market leading business services company located in the Exeter area, who are searching for a Landed Estates & Agriculture Manager to join their growing team. This fantastic company is rapidly expanding their internal teams due to their continuing success and now boast locations all across the south of England, with more planned to come in the future.

The position holder will be joining a friendly team, who will be looking after a portfolio of agricultural business entities to provide accounts preparation and taxation services in a diligent and time sensitive manner. This will be an exciting and progressive role, where duties and workload will vary, thus creating an exciting environment and scope for this position.

Role and Responsibilities
While in this position your duties may include but are not limited to:
  • Overseeing a portfolio of partnership and company clients, managing their compliance work, although this will not include audits
  • Managing the day-to-day activities of the rural team, to ensure workflow is kept consistent and that work is delivered to a high standard and within set out parameters
  • Proactively identifying opportunities with clients for finance, commercial and tax planning
  • Collaborating with the company partners on new client work, to ensure that an understanding of needs is attained and that services can meet these requirements
  • Seeking opportunities with existing clients to promote the business and its wider services

What You Will Need To Apply:
The business is seeking applications from ACA or ACCA qualified accountants, or those considered qualified by experience. You should possess excellent technical tax compliance and accounts preparation knowledge, alongside capital taxes and IHT and CGT insight, and have worked on a portfolio of clients in the past. You will need substantial accounts and tax experience, and this should come from an accountancy practice environment. Additionally, experience working with agricultural businesses, providing tax and accounting services. You will need exquisite communication and analytical skills and be able to manage a diverse workload. Knowledge from using accounts and tax return software is a must as well for this role.

What You Will Get In Return:
The successful candidate within this position can expect to gain a salary in the region of £55,000 depending on previous experience and technical knowledge, and this will also be supplemented by a generous remuneration package including various insurance covers, medical provisions, additional monetary rewards and other employee incentives and schemes.
