Job DescriptionWe are looking for a social worker experienced working with Looked After Children to join our Permanence and Assessment Team. The successful candidate will be involved in undertaking parenting capacity assessments to inform planning, and progressing permanence plans for children in a timely manner in order to secure a permanent destination for children within their family, or with permanent carers. The post holder will be a creative and dynamic individual, able to work collaboratively with other social work colleagues, foster carers, kinship carers, parents, and professionals to undertake robust assessments of need and risk, produce comprehensive written assessment reports, and develop and implement good quality SMART focused plans. Workers in the Permanence and Assessment Team will also have opportunities to share their knowledge and practice experience with workers across the service with less experience in this area of work to support planning more broadly across the service.
