Are you an experienced Care Assistant with access to your own car?

Looking to work with a local authority, with great shift patterns?

Suitable candidates will be happy to work on a contract basis offering excellent pay rates up to £14-£18 p/h to begin with (PAYE/Umbrella). Earning you an excellent salary of approximately £29,000 pro-rata.

The post is working with adults in a care home setting within the Perthshire & Dundee area supporting with:

  • meal prep,
  • medication prompt
  • and supporting Independence.

As a care assistant you will be a committed and caring individual with relevant experience working in a care setting and relevant experience working closely with learning difficulties is required.

Shift patterns:tend to be a mixture of earlies and lates, across the week including weekends and Sleepovers!

The Successful Adult Care Assistant Will Be Responsible For

Working effectively on their own as well as part of a team

Recognising and encouraging the rights of service users within all areas of their life and to assist them to make informed choices and decisions

Working in a professional manner, meeting National Care Standards, setting appropriate boundaries

  • Supporting individuals to take part in their chosen activities, maintain their tenancies and support individuals to make informed choices that matter
  • Support may include personal care, promoting independence and active citizenship as well as supporting with household chores
  • Supporting individuals out and about supporting each individual to access and engage in the local community and taking part in activities that they enjoy Please get in touch soon! We are looking to source our client with candidates as soon as possible.

Specific Requirements

The candidate should have direct and relevant experience working with service users who are diagnosed with learning difficulties and housing support.

The candidate must be able to provide experience in similar fields of supporting service users engaging in community activities.

In ordered to be considered for this post, you must be:

Qualified to minimum SVQ Level 2 in Care or HNC in Social Care (Desirable)

A car driver with access to your own vehicle (ESSENTIAL)

Minimum 6 months UK experience, working within a care setting
