The Nottingham University Hospitals Research and Innovation department is undergoing a redesign to bring research closer to our patients. Our vision is to situate Nottingham University Hospitals Trust at the very forefront of clinical research placing patient needs at the centre of our research activity.

We are seeking a Site Setup Facilitator to support our clinical research portfolio across the medicine division within Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust. The successful candidates will work closely with lead researchers, clinical teams and Divisional Portfolio Managers to ensure a thorough and swift approach to trial set up.

The Ambulatory Care and Clinical Support Research team prides itself on delivering high quality clinical research across areas such as Diabetes, Rheumatology, Dermatology, Intensive Care and Mental Health The portfolio of trials is large covering commercial and non-commercial studies and we consider research as an integral part of patient care and try to ensure that every patient is offered a trial where appropriate.

Main duties of the job

The Site Setup Facilitator will provide a supportive and proactive role setting up clinical research trials within the medicine to realise R&I, Trust, and National objectives.

The successful candidate will undertake study review in order to facilitate the preparation of approval documents. This will involve meeting with researchers and liaising with Trust’s support departments such as, Pathology, Pharmacy, Imaging, Medical Records etc. The Site Setup Facilitators will be responsible for ensuring that studies are discussed and receive appropriate authorisations from Service Support Departments / Directorates.

Salary: The quoted salary will be on a pro rata basis for part time workers.
