Job summary
This is an exciting career opportunity for a Service Transition and Change Lead to join a growing Service Management team. The role will support technology to deliver an excellent service to our business users and will provide support and guidance for teams on Service Management processes, ensuring continuous service improvement.
You will work as part of the IT Service Delivery team and have the opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge both through formal training and other development opportunities.
Our team has a mix of colleagues, split between those who work predominantly from home and those who attend the office, dependent on business needs. This role requires significant interaction with the Senior Management team, on-site support teams and delivery colleagues. You will therefore need to be able to attend the office regularly, at least one day a week, due to the nature of the role.
Job description
You’ll be responsible for:
Ownership and management of the IT Service Transition and Change Management functions.
- Ownership of the IT Service Transition, Release and Deployment and Change Management processes.
- Analyse process efficiency and effectiveness and identify and deliver improvements to maintain a high standard of services.
- Define, review and provide key Change Management and Service Transition metrics.
- Ensuring IT Services are supportable and reliable by ensuring robust Change and Service Transition governance are in place.
- Liaising with Programme and Project Managers to create a forward-view pipeline of Service Transition and Change Management demand.
IT Service Transition management
- Ensuring that new and changed services are able to be supported in line with business requirements.
- Maintaining regular contact with business representatives for assigned deliveries, working to resolve any challenges.

- Significant recent professional experience in IT Service Management roles with an IT Service Transition and Change Management focus.
- Experience of line and task management within an IT Service Management environment.
- Have excellent written and oral communication skills to produce reports and give presentations at an organisation wide level to senior leadership and large groups.
- Experience of making decisions at the appropriate time, taking into account the needs of the situation, priorities, constraints and the availability of necessary information.
- SFIA skills:

- Interview will be with a panel of no more than 2 people and will last approx. 45 mins
Onboarding Checks:
