Job summary

The post holder will be joining an existing Facilities Management (FM) team and be responsible for the management of suppliers and contracts that underpin the services provided to the FM team, mainly the Total Facilities Management (TFM) contract.

Excellent knowledge and experience of FM, including hard FM, soft FM, health and safety, and managing contracts of this nature is essential. The post holder will be the first point of escalation for all contractual issues.

The person will hold a pivotal role in our TFM contract success and interact with key stakeholders around the organisation to ensure services are as required.

It is expected that the individual will be in the office at least 3 times a week, if not every day.

Job description

  • Responsible for the management of suppliers and contracts that underpin the services provided to the Facilities Management (FM) team, mainly the Total Facilities Management (TFM) contract.
  • Key interface between the supplier and UKHO internal customer, and ensuring customer centricity remains at the forefront of the suppliers’ motivations.
  • General client management tasks including (but not limited to) liaising with contractors, ensuring contract compliance, collecting and analysing performance metrics, audits, investigating customer issues across any contracted service, progressing service improvements with suppliers to deliver enhanced provision and/or performance, negotiating and resolving contractual issues, creating an end to end management of injected works (small works orders) and ensuring contracts continue to meet the UKHO’s needs while maximising value for money for the UKHO.
  • Subject matter expert in all FM areas, such as soft FM, hard FM and health and safety (H&S).
  • Attending, and contributing to internal and external meetings representing FM.
  • Budget manager for FM.
  • FM audit focal point.

  • Proven experience in all Facilities Management areas (hard FM and soft FM) plus Health & Safety.
  • Experience in managing a Total FM contract.
  • Holder of IOSH
  • Holder or working towards NEBOSH
  • SAP experience
  • Good interpersonal skills to establish and maintain working relationships

Process:

  • Single Stage Interview via TEAMS. You will be contacted to book a suitable slot if you are shortlisted (see our Candidate Pack for further information)
  • Interview will be with a panel of no more than 2 people and will last approx. 45 mins
