To provide leadership and day to day management of the service in the absence of the Registered Manager.

To undertake supervisor and induction of delegated named staff as delegated by the Registered manager.

To undertake and support staff to complete risk assessments, develop risk management plans, person centred support plans.
  • To ensure that all records are completed to the required standard, undertake regular audits e.g H&S, lead on fire evacuation drills, liaise with the housing provider, to follow up outstanding repairs and maintenance issues both for the service and for individual tenants/customers.
  • To chair and attend meetings both internally and externally as delegated by the Registered manager.
  • To support the Registered manager in the development of a person-centred rotas, that ensures cover is available at the times commissioned.
  • To take part in the on-call rota after a period of coaching and mentoring by the Registered manager.
  • To contribute to the overall running of the service supporting the Registered manager in ensuring service runs smoothly.
  • To provide support that is safe, person centred and respects the human rights of the people we support.
  • To ensure that the people we support can live their lives in ways that make sense to them and to ensure that those we support are well connected in their communities, enjoy and achieve, stay safe, make positive contributions, and remain healthy.
  • To ensure that the people supported are at the core of everything we do, that they are treated with respect, and that their dignity is protected, and to ensure they are free to express themselves and have their views listened to and acted upon.
Main Duties/Responsibilities

Management of staff to ensure they are supporting people to become valued members of their community, to develop friendships and relationships, have a life that makes sense to the individual.
  • Developing, maintaining, reviewing, and updating individuals care plans and associated paperwork with staff and in line with regulatory requirements.
  • Maintaining rotas to ensure that there is sufficient support to meet the needs of individuals on a day-to-day basis and that remains within contracted levels.
  • Staff are supervised regularly and receive annual appraisals. Staff attend regular monthly team meetings.
  • Staff are booked on and attend regular training. Training matrix is kept updated.
  • To chair and attend managers meetings, forums, Multi Agency Meetings, and reviews
  • To provide leadership and day to day management of the service in the absence of the Registered Manager.
To provide On Call support on a rota basis.
