About the job

Summary

Cyber has a major part to play in the complex nature of modern warfare, a world characterised by complexity, instability, uncertainty and pervasive information.

The purpose of this exciting role is to contribute to Operational Research (OR) studies within the field of Cyber. You will be working on analytical studies in order to build the robust evidence-base required to underpin MOD’s decision making. This work will provide opportunities to work with a range of MOD and cross-government departments and agencies, wider industry and academia.

While an interest in the field of cyber is desirable, this is not a technical role (ie programmer or engineer), but instead requires you to have strong analytical problem solving skills that can be applied to this domain. Analysts will work with technical specialists to support them in gathering data for their studies. Training and mentoring will be provided to support and develop applicants through their career in this area.
