We’re currently looking for a Senior Technical Support Officer to join our team on a full-time basis working 35 hours per week.

The Role

As a Senior Technical Support Officer, you will take responsibility for our technical solutions and services.

Reporting to the Technical Support Team Lead, you will gain and maintain specialist knowledge of our organisation’s technical infrastructure whilst delivering industry-standard technical solutions.

You will act as the first point of contact for specific systems and provide BAU support across our organisation on a daily basis.

Your role will also involve:
  • Developing and supporting key technical and infrastructure systems
  • Installing and configuring computer hardware and applications
  • Supporting the roll-out of new systems and tech
  • Ensuring the security of the network, infrastructure and data
  • Providing backend server support
  • Troubleshooting system and network problems
Interested? If so, you will need:
  • Experience of working within a similar IT environment
  • Experience of managing virtual server architecture using VMware or Hyper-V
  • A proven background in Windows Server administration – 2012 R2, 2016, 2019
  • Experience of working within a fast-paced organisation, supporting a diverse busy team and managing a varied workload
  • The ability to drive and the willingness to travel as required for the role
The ideal Senior Technical Support Officer will be educated to degree level in a related discipline, or with a similar level of experience, ideally with recognisable IT skills or qualifications. Knowledge of ITIL Service management would be highly beneficial, as would experience of implementing Microsoft cloud security services such as SSO, Intune, MFA and Conditional Access.

This is a full-time role working 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, some out of hours working may be required. Some weekend support will also be required on a rota basis.
