WHAT TO EXPECT

As a Senior Quality Engineer, you will be a subject matter expert and coach for ensuring robust problem solving and process improvement across Product Engineering. Your role will be to join the Engineering Excellence team to support our Engineering Quality strategy to become the automotive industry world leader by setting benchmarks in Quality, Satisfaction and Reliability through sustainable and innovative luxury products.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
  • Customer issue resolution delivery and problem-solving technical excellence using the appropriate methodologies
  • Driving common approaches for tools, analysis techniques, processes and reports to improve Product Engineering efficiency
  • Technical analysis of customer issues using appropriate diagnostics tools
  • Prevent recurrence delivery - applying lessons learnt and best practice
  • Coach and mentor individual candidates or teams of employees on Problem solving / 6-Sigma methods & tool selection and application on existing projects
  • Lead transformation projects to improve problem solving processes across Product Engineering
  • Provide technical expertise for the application and integration of Problem solving / 6-Sigma across Product Engineering
  • Undertake any other work as directed by their line manager in connection with their job as may be requested
WHAT YOU’LL NEED

Essential:
  • Significant experience in Problem solving and 6-Sigma in a large multi-national organisation.
  • Certified Green Belt as a minimum
  • Extensive experience of increasing responsibility in a variety of Product Engineering environments focused primarily on complex electro-mechanical-software integrated product architectures used in the automotive industry
  • Significant experience in supporting Product Development projects and organisations from concept to launch
  • Ability to evaluate and align Problem solving / 6-Sigma practices with Quality Management System standards and requirements; defend actions and results under audit if required.
  • Demonstrated communication skills: ability to communicate technical information to non-technical audiences
  • Strong people and leadership skills, with the ability to work individually and in a cross functional team
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
