We are looking to recruit an experienced Senior Quality Administrator for a growing and successful engineering company in North Liverpool. Close to the M57 and free onsite parking this is a great opportunity for someone looking for their next career move. The salary is £28-£30k with a potential £5k annual bonus if performance targets are achieved.

The main purpose of the role is to ensure that the document control for large projects is collated and filed in accordance with company procedures. Effectively maintain the distribution, collection and measurement of key processes, including lifetime records for nuclear value stream products. Oversee the Health & Safety controls of the business to ensure compliance is met.

The duties will include:

  • Creation and distribution of shop floor paperwork (control plans, maintenance sheets).

  • Creation and distribution of job specific documentation in line with ISO9001 and FPC1090 (dimensional reports, weld history sheets).

  • Review and filing of generic shop floor paperwork.

  • Review, signoff and filing of job specific documentation.

  • With support of the Quality Manager, to ensure that all administrative duties are carried out to maintain the quality assurance and quality control requirements.

  • Inspection of parts for quality compliance for jobs requiring execution class 2 (EXC2).

  • Collation and upload to portal of long-term project documentation to a deadline.

  • Inspection of coating thickness on all jobs requiring documented evidence of meeting minimum requirements.

  • Creation and submission of Production Part Approval Process (PPAPs).

  • Creation of International Material Data System (IMDS) records.

  • Management of material compliance to ensure traceability and control of supplied materials.

  • Organisation of local subcontract operations, ensuring that purchase orders raised and received documentation is correct.

  • Highlight any non conformance of process, or nonconforming parts to the Quality Manager. Follow up with raising Non Conformance (record on register).

  • Maintain compliance of the Groups Health & Safety records and ensure all procedures are adhered to.

  • Oversee factory maintenance and staff welfare via factory housekeeping and 5s standards are maintained and address areas of concern

  • Use automated systems to perform complex testing procedures.

  • Liaise with customers over Non-conformance issues and see through factory to successful resolution.

  • Operate an open door policy for the factory floor to raise quality issues & address when required.

The suitable person must have had at least 2 years’ experience in a similar role as a Quality Administrator ideally in Manufacturing or Engineering. Ideally possessing some knowledge of machining, laser profile cutting, press brake, fabrication, welding, and powder coating processes. You will also need to have a good understanding of manufacturing MRP systems and how these can be used to positively enhance quality performance.
