Overview

As a Senior Product Marketing Manager for IVD Products, you will work with a broad array of internal and external subject matter experts to create successful marketing strategies and execute tactics to support these strategies for in vitro diagnostic reagents and system solutions. You will author market, user, and product requirement documents and confidently build business cases for new solutions. Working closely with commercial teams, peers, and external collaborators, you will successfully lobby for the inclusion of new products to the Waters IVD product development portfolio.

You are a self-directed, highly motivated individual with strong business acumen, technical skills, and in vitro diagnostic device market knowledge. The ability to develop an intimate understanding of your customers’ unmet needs, and the ability to grasp and translate technical capabilities into benefits, is critical. Domestic and international travel of up to 30% is required.

Reporting to the Newborn Screening Solutions Team Leader, the Senior Product Marketing Manager is a highly visible, global role that must lead through influence of a number of cross-functional teams across the enterprise.

The Successful Candidate Will

Responsibilities
  • Lead the VoC research to identify unmet needs and develop value propositions for Waters solutions in key therapeutic areas
  • Act as a subject matter expert for the responsible IVD product lines and therapeutic areas
  • Develop comprehensive target product profiles through both qualitative and quantitative market research
  • Lead the development of business cases for new IVD products or product enhancements
  • Work closely with a cross-functional team to execute the IVD product roadmap and drive innovation
  • Work closely with Marketing Communications, R&D and Commercial teams on content generation to fulfill strategic marketing campaigns
  • Work closely with field marketing and sales management teams to develop and execute training plans
  • Maintain competitive intelligence and develop appropriate and timely responses for internal and external audiences.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree required. MBA preferred.
  • A minimum of five (5) years previous in vitro diagnostic marketing/sales experience.Experience with analytical technologies required.
  • Experience in a product management, business development, sales, or other customer-facing role in the in vitro diagnostics market is highly desired.
  • Critical thinking and analysis of market conditions and opportunities
  • Experience with developing ’Go-to-Market’ product strategies
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills
  • Exceptional organization and problem-solving skills
  • Strong presentation and communication skills.
