The Senior Performance Analyst role cuts across the DDaT Senior Performance Analyst and Senior Data Scientist roles from the Technical DDaT job family. The Senior Performance Analyst will typically take forward, produce and influence monitoring and response strategy, develop and support less-experienced colleagues and act as third line support for incidents.

Responsibilities

Accountable to the Service Management Team Lead, the Senior Performance Analyst is expected to;
  • Conduct in-depth analyses of potential threats.
  • Leverage data to gain insights, as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Act as an escalation point for less-experienced colleagues and provide advice and informal training.
  • Design, develop and improve analytical processes to keep environments secure.
Essential Skills

You will have to demonstrate that you have developed an effective working knowledge of:
  • Experience of delivering in a digital or IT role, in a challenging, fast paced and complex environment.
  • Cloud technologies, cloud hosting and tooling.
  • Ensuring that incidents are handled according to agreed procedures. Investigating escalated incidents and seeking resolution. Facilitating recovery, following resolution of incidents.
  • Ensuring that resolved incidents are properly documented and closed.
  • Analysing causes of incidents and informing service owners in order to minimise probability of recurrence, and contributing to service improvement.
  • Analysing metrics and reports on performance of the incident management process.
  • Applying a range of mathematical, statistical, predictive modelling or machine-learning techniques in consultation with experts if appropriate, and with sensitivity to the limitations of the techniques.
  • Selecting, acquiring and integrating data for analysis.
  • Developing data hypotheses and methods, training and evaluating analytics models, sharing insights and findings and continuing to iterate with additional data.
