As a Marketplace Development Manager for our Vodafone Business Marketplace, you will be joining an Agile product introduction team responsible for ensuring that Vodafone UK offers its business customers products and services that enable them to make a step change in their operating efficiency and effectiveness. Working with third party suppliers of SaaS, IaaS, IoT, Mobility and Security solutions your role will be to build and test product profiles on our marketplace; map, test and recommend CX improvements to end to end customer journeys; and to recommend feature improvements to the marketplace.

The Vodafone Business Marketplace is a group platform supplied by App Direct that gives Vodafone UK an “Amazon” like trading experience, allowing us to attach 3rd party software and services to a core connectivity assisted sale.

You will be working in a fast paced multi-disciplinary team, and interacting with Vodafone colleagues around the world in group technology, digital services, customer operations on a regular basis, as well as technical personnel from our supply partners. You will also be expected to share knowledge and experience with colleagues in other Vodafone Opco’s.

What will you be doing?
  • Import product profiles into the test environment, working with group technology and ISV’s to monitor technical integration into the test environment.
  • Work with digital team to assess and map customer journey’s in the Vodafone test environment, and use this knowledge to develop test scripts (scenarios) to evaluate the Customer Experience.
  • Monitor the production environment to ensure that the look and feel, visitor tracking and nanorep integrations continue to function against a backdrop of bi-weekly App Direct software releases.
  • Import and configure product profiles into the production environment and execute test scripts to ensure that the Customer Experience matches expectations.
  • Liaise with off-shore content creation teams to ensure that product profile content is timely and accurate.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for the ORT (Operational Readiness Testing) teams.
  • Liaise with the Group Marketplace teams to manager and progress chase Change Requests and provide into the App Direct development roadmap.
  • Liaise with the COE to manage incidents / back end configuration changes
  • Act as a content contributor to customer facing FAQ’s and Vodafone support knowledge bases.
  • Act as a leader and coach for other Marketplace developers / Marketplace Managers working in other squads.
  • Provide guidance and assistance to the product owners and product manager working with marketplace, or with new product introductions on Marketplace.
Who are we looking for?
  • Experience working in an Agile methodology.
  • Thorough and methodical approach to understanding the E2E customer journeys and experience in documenting and communicating journeys.
  • Ability to identify critical test case elements and create test scripts / test cases & execute against them.
  • Ability to collaborate within cross functional teams and to interact with broad range of stakeholders.
  • Good HTML skills.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills, able to communicate across different cultures.
  • Comfortable operating as a technical subject matter expert.
  • Enquiring mind, problem solving orientation, a self-starter able to work in an environment that demands flexibility.
  • Good understanding and background knowledge of Software as a Service products and e-commerce platforms – Understanding of IoT, IaaS, Mobility and Vodafone 1st Party products preferred.
  • Sound understanding of different Segment customer behaviours (SOHO / SME / Regions / Majors) would be ideal.
  • Working knowledge of Cloud security, cloud providers, current cloud and security market trends and managed hosting.
  • UX/UI development experience would be preferential.
