Oxford Space Systems develops innovative deployable antennas for Space. Our aim is to be the global leader in this field, providing effective solutions today for the space-based services of the future. We are leveraging innovations from beyond the space sector to make our antennas smaller, lighter and cheaper than traditional designs.

This is an exciting time to join us as we scale up for the future, having already delivered multiple systems for operational satellites with in-orbit deployment success, and significant investment in our facilities with a state-of-the-art head office at Harwell and a bespoke manufacturing facility in Abingdon.

The Role

As we continue to grow due to the many new product opportunities we are looking to recruit a Manufacturing, Assembly, Integration and Test (MAIT) Technician to work across our product portfolios. This is a unique opportunity to work on the assembly and testing of future products and on our current portfolio of flight hardware.

This role will also be responsible for the development of Manufacturing & Assembly procedures and Test procedures, along with completing detailed inspections of machined parts using our in house metrology equipment. You will also work closely with our Product Assurance Managers to define and write up MAIT processes.

To be successful in this role you will have a good knowledge of engineering and experience in the assembly of precision components and the use of metrology equipment. You will also have comprehensive knowledge an understanding of detailed drawings, surface finishes, tolerances, and materials. You will be a team player with excellent relationship building skills along with the aptitude to solve challenging problems and deliver to project deadlines and be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software.
