Senior Investment Relations Analyst

Location: Scotland / Hybrid working

Salary c. £50,000 – £60,000 + Excellent Benefits

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Investment Analyst to join the Investment arm of our financial services client on a permanent basis. The key purpose of this role will be to provide technical and professional input; gathering and presenting data whilst managing relationships.

The successful role holder will own and drive particular elements of the Investment Relationships framework, ensuring that core processes are completed in line with plan; providing support to the Investment and wider business projects where an Investment specialist is required.

Responsibilities:

• Contribute to defining and implementing a fund manager database to embed Fund Manager monitoring across the investment estate.
• Oversee execution of key processes including MI and fund manager scorecards
• Provide quality control and review filter to given processes
• Provide insight into the analysis and synthesise the information to an appropriate level
• Take summarised outputs and recommendations to governance forums
• Record centrally, allocate and review/resolve/escalate queries or issues from Fund Managers.
• Lead analysis and recommendations for the business and Investment proposition activity.
• Investment projects, involving deep-dive reviews of certain aspects of funds (e.g. fund pricing and commercials)
• Support Proposition-led projects with technical expertise
• Provide input and support decision making process as attendees of governance forums
• Oversee, develop and enhance the Investment Proposition input to Corporate Actions and other Fund/Manager changes, driving recommendations and subsequent actions through governance forums
• Provide support to fund manager partners - Support of joint Fund Partner marketing activity as necessary & Support Maintenance of fund manager partner programme

Skills, Qualifications & Experience:

The successful candidate will have possess experience working in a similar investment relations or performance / analysis role within an asset management / investment business and possess a deep understanding of fund management practices, retail and institutional fund structures, and commercials.

• Strong communication/presentation skills, both verbal and written
• Adopts a collaborative and commercial approach, works well with others to achieve team and organisational objectives
• Skills in investment and fund analysis in areas (e.g. performance analysis, fund commercials, peer group comparison, risk assessment
• Highly developed capability in data management and analysis using Excel and other tools with well-honed use of its various functions for investment analysis
• Ability to use in-depth knowledge and experience to solve complex problems independently
• Ability to simplify complexity and deliver clear succinct messages
• Engages effectively and is able to influence key stakeholders at all levels
