THE ROLE

We’re looking for a Senior Events Manager to join the Education UKI Lead Team reporting directly to the Head of Education Craft & Community . The purpose of this role is to lead the strategic implementation of the full face to face and digital Wella Events plan across all Education and company touch points.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan & Execute the Wella Events Strategy and calendar plan , face to face and digital.
  • Accountable for the activation of the Events strategy via the design and delivery of an annual Events plan across all relevant channels & touch points.
  • Execute and lead all Global Events Council 360 pitches and post events close out reporting
  • Plan and implement all TVA face to face and digital event strategy and execution including all competition touch points across face to face and digital, supported by the Assistant Events Manager
  • Review plan and be the SPOC for the all Wella sponsorship management with execution by Assistant Community Manager
  • Plan and develop all Education pre & post Event content linked to Education creation e.g., NTVA, BNL, MCC, RedClub, Destination, Conference,
  • Lead relationship owner /SPOC with key agencies in support of all events
  • Own all Event budget management, accountability and reporting
  • Direct line manage the Assistant events Manager
  • UKI SPOC for all global event project requirements eg Wecreate, Destination

Skills, Experience, Qualifications

Essential:
  • Degree or equivalent qualification in Event Management /Travel /Tourism
  • Minimum 5 years proven record in development and implementation of successful Event planning including face to face and digital.
  • Proven results in full end to end ownership of complex projects, solution focused and ability to resolve complexity.

Important:
  • Experienced in people management, strong leadership abilities.
  • Structured, solution-oriented thinking with very strong analytical and strategic abilities
  • Leading by example, self-initiative and proactive, with a hands-on approach to execution
  • Internal applicants to have completed Manager of Others training & advanced application of key concepts.
  • Ability to work closely with broader MFT across broader Education Lead Team, Commercial , E comm ,Sales , Finance and HR to align internal and external messaging and ensuring consistency
  • Ability to respond effectively to multiple demands and complex situations
  • High level of presentation & communication written /verbal
  • Experience in data analysis and monitoring to drive business results and future strategy
  • Ability to travel and be away from home when necessary, in support of the aligned events plan

Desirable:
  • Excellent use of social media for customers and team communication (Facebook, Insta , tik tok,
  • In In-depth knowledge of Beauty and HD industry and local market touch points lace

  • Previous experience in similar role requirements
