Job Title: Senior Electrical and Electronic Engineer This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Electrical and Electronic engineer with a good knowledge of NI Hardware to develop their career by working on projects involving state of the art automated test, control and data acquisition systems across many industries, including Aerospace and Automotive.   • The possibility of making your working week 4 days (39 hours) : a 3 day Weekend Responsibilities of the Senior Electrical and Electronic Engineer will include the following: Generate electrical / electronic design specifications for team members. Communicate with customers and other project engineers to clarify requirements / meet design specifications. Identify and support timely development of fit for purpose electrical drawings and electronic documentation. Research and source specific items when required. Provide technical guidance to colleagues and customers when required
  • Work closely with manufacturing dept. to inform and answer queries during assembly / test stages
  • Efficiently and accurately check wiring schedule and schematic information produced by colleagues. General management and upkeep of drawings. Attend Factory and/or Site Acceptance Testing with customer when required
  • Generate product reference documentation / handbooks when required. The Senior Electrical and Electronic Engineer should have the following skills or experience: Minimum. 5 years industry related experience in electrical engineering at design / implementation level
  • Possess all requirements for successfully meeting formal Security Check (SC) criteria
  • Experience of designing test equipment Experience of designing analogue and digital interface circuits Desirable Qualifications / Experience: 18th Edition an advantage Experience in Power Engineering an advantage Experience with National Instruments hardware/software an advantage Key Attributes: Accurate and methodical Able to anticipate and solve problems Able to produce wiring schedules and schematics that support efficient manufacture Able to work on a variety of projects Good communication skills internally and with customer personnel Have experience, ideally within the Automated test, Defence or Aerospace sectors. An enthusiasm to get involved with the practical aspects of a project. Interested in broadening your knowledge for example into the software aspects of a project, The successful candidate must satisfy security clearance requirements : including the last 5 years continual residency in the UK.
