All posts are permanent, full time position (basic hours : 50 (Days), 55 (Nights) per week plus overtime).

Purpose Of The HGV Class 1 Driver

Ensure you arrive at your job on time, using the most efficient route with the correct information against your paperwork.

Requirements Of The HGV Class 1 Driver
  • Ensure you do your daily vehicle checks to make sure your vehicle is roadworthy and safe to use
  • To ensure you arrive at your job on time
  • Ensure you inform the shunt operators of any problems in good time i.e. if youre running late
  • Ensure all paperwork is correct and physically checked against your container and seal number
  • Follow all company procedures, customer procedures and the highway code
  • Ability to communicate effectively with the customers, shunt operators, container control staff and other depots, understand requirements and communicate accurate information on time as required.
  • Maintain high standards of good housekeeping
  • Maintain health and safety standards.
Requirements Of The HGV Class 1 Driver
  • Hold a current and valid Class 1 driving license (max 6 points).
  • Hold full CPC qualification
  • Ideally hold ADR License
  • Be flexible with working hours
  • Have good comprehension of written and spoken English
