Zachary Daniels are proud to be partnered with a long standing client on the appointment of a Senior eCommerce Manager.

Our client are a growing multi-channel retailer, operating in a high performing specialist sector. Offering flexible working, genuine autonomy and the opportunity to have huge impact, we are looking for an ambitious individual to lead the team in the day to day development and operations of the eCommerce channel.

You may be a Senior eCommerce Manager looking for your first step up into a Head of eCommerce role, or a proven professional looking for an opportunity to drive growth and development of a team in its infancy. Either way, you will be strong when it comes to driving growth and digital strategies and your passion for eCommerce will be evident.

Your day to day responsibilities will include:

  • Day-to-day management of the site, delivering sales and conversion targets against budget
  • Accountability for the end-to-end online customer experience and performance (driving conversion, engagement and repeat purchase)
  • Develop and maintain strong internal relationships across marketing, product, operations, finance and customer service teams
  • Budget accountability with a key focus on ROI
  • Lead, coach and inspire a high performing team
  • Manage third party agencies ensuring they are delivering against plan and to budget
  • Regularly report on trading performance by collating insight and data to be shared in weekly trade meetings
  • Constantly utilise data, A/B and multi-variate tests to optimise the website and omni-channel experience for maximum conversion, basket value and user experience
  • Drive SEO performance, building rich content that also enhances the customer experience and brings the brand to life
  • Apply data driven learning’s to identify opportunities and hone site performance
  • Manage the development roadmap, development projects and development suppliers, develop strategies and proposals for commercial driving e-commerce projects
  • Technical website improvements, work with external agencies to monitor and improve website performance
  • Website payment solutions, manage payment partners and fraud processes
  • Stay abreast of trends, insights and technologies to ensure the latest opportunities are constantly explored

About you:

  • A minimum of 5 years experience operating at a similar level within retail and eCommerce
  • Commercially astute with an authentic desire to delight customers
  • Highly analytical and data driven
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise daily with the SLT team
  • Ability to work both strategically and hands on - not afraid to roll your sleeves up and get stuck in
  • Strong knowledge across both digital marketing and the trading of a site
