An exciting opportunity has arisen in the People Team for a Senior People Director to partner the Maritime part of our business.
Join our team and you’ll be a key contributor to creating Unforgettable Holiday Happiness for our Guests, championing a people agenda that supports the delivery of our business priorities. You’ll coach, support and influence to enable leaders to create a special employee experience and to effectively deliver their people plan/strategy.
The Role
As a key member of the People Leadership team you’ll provide leadership across the People team and ensure that the requirements of the business areas are represented and delivered through the Carnival UK (CUK) People Strategy.
You’ll also be an active and key member of the Maritime Leadership team, providing influence and challenge across all people related Maritime activity ship and shore, from conception to implementation.
Maritime is responsible for the safe operation of our fleet across the P&O and Cunard Brands. We do this by developing capable and motivated colleagues, providing assets that are fit for purpose as well as delivering operational processes that meet and exceed the needs of the business. Our Maritime teams deliver the health, environment, safety, security and nautical & engineering expertise needed to ensure we are able to create unforgettable holiday happiness for our guests.
About You
As a Senior Leader you’ll positively impact a culture of trust, openness and care across the business, role modelling our Culture Essentials and actions that support these.
You’ll be insightful and resourceful, you’ll know what it takes to balance legal and commercial risk and you’ll fully understand how important it is to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels. You’ll have significant proven experience within an HR Business Partnering role in a multi-functional and matrix environment, as well as significant experience coaching and influencing senior leaders on a wide breadth of people related areas. Experience of delivering People agendas in a multicultural environment would also be a benefit.
You’ll also have significant experience of planning and delivering HR and change management projects.
You’ll hold a relevant people management qualification, as well as proven experience of influencing and shaping people plans for a business area, practical application of HR concepts, supporting shaping and delivery of People strategies and influencing at a senior level. You’ll demonstrate that you can see the bigger picture, particularly when it comes to handling complex cultural, employee and industrial relations matters.
