Here at Wiltshire Police we are on an exciting journey with a new ICT Department.

The journey includes delivering a new Police ICT infrastructure built on Microsoft technology with a new network, end user compute devices and management tools. We are now seeking to recruit a Senior Engineer in the TechOps team to delivery our technologies to front line officers.

Senior DevOps Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Senior Engineer and a team player to join the existing managers in enabling and delivering technology to the Force.

You will be involved with designing, developing and implementing technology to support front line officers in solving crimes and protecting our most vulnerable people.

You will have a passion for leading and a proven track record in delivering.

Experience of Microsoft 365 (Exchange, SharePoint Online, Azure AD), PowerShell, Windows Server (AD, DNS, DHCP IIS, RADIUS)

General experience of Commvault, Netapp and hyper V

Desirable experience with Microsoft 365 services (Power Automate, Forms, etc.), SCOM, SCCM, SCVMM, Azure

Experience of working in a Police environment is desirable but not essential.

You will contribute to the setting of processes and procedures and will work closely with colleagues and other teams to ensure support knowledge is shared across the department.

Base location is currently Police HQ but we offer flexible working and the opportunity to work from home/other locations as appropriate. Please note the salary package is £38,100 rising to £40,323 over two increments + 20% Market Uplift and OOH payment.
