SENIOR DESIGN ENGINEER The Senior Design Engineer will design and produce engineering drawings for power generation components, to the planned deadline and without errors, and to support other mechanical designers with this task. Senior Design Engineer Salary, Hours and Benefits- £35,000 - £38,000, negotiable dependant on experience
  • 37 hours per week, early finish Friday’s

  • The Senior Design Engineer will have 5+ years engineering environment experience
  • Any experience within power generation, generators, transformers etc would be highly advantageous
  • Qualified to HNC or HND level in Engineering. A degree is desirable.
  • Ability to create customer drawings and drawings for manufacture in AutoCAD
  • Design in 3D in Inventor
  • Any experience of Sovelia is desirable
  • Proficient in MS Office packages is desirable
  • Experience of designing, conduit, cable tray systems, industrial equipment would be very useful Key Responsibilities
  • The Senior Design Engineer will deliver engineering drawings to operations on time and error free
  • Subject-matter expert for their area of design.
  • The ability to design all components of the product
  • Support operations, where required, with the production of the designed components
  • Guide, design draughtsmen in the department, and sign off engineering drawings as checked work
  • The Senior Design Engineer will work to KPIs and objectives set by the DO Lead
