We are looking to recruit an experienced Biomedical Scientist with the ability to lead, influence and engage others. Passionate about delivering a high quality pathology service for our users and patients. Someone who has the ability to meet performance standards whilst working under pressure and experienced in leading service changes to improve performance. The individual will need to be adaptable and flexible with the ability to work and build strong, sustainable relationships within the various pathology disciplines together with POCT and Central Services. A leader who acts with accountability and responsibility and do the right thing for patient care.

The right candidate will be an excellent and confident communicator with strong leadership skills, will be fully aware of the current issues pertinent to the Clinical Biochemistry Department . This will enable you to contribute effectively to developing policies, audit practice , support the department’s quality management process, and take responsibility for the research department

You will be a keen, well organised and motivated individual who is capable of delivering training and education to all levels of staff.

This is a challenging post and we are looking to appoint someone who can perform the necessary tasks with immediate effect.

To apply, you must be a HCPC registered Biomedical Scientist, with extensive post registration experience, a relevant MSC, or Higher Specialist Diploma together with evidence of professional development within the Clinical Biochemistry discipline.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a well-motivated, flexible and innovative Biomedical Scientist, within the Biochemistry Department at Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust.

The department serves a population of over 450,000 and is delivered from both Calderdale Royal Hospital and Huddersfield Royal Infirmary. This position provides an opportunity to become a key part of an innovative and forward thinking organisation within a fast paced working environment with an engaged team of dedicated healthcare professionals.

An opportunity to further develop your operational and management skills will be provided, together with a chance to play a major role in the continuing development of service delivery for the benefit of our patients.
