SEND EMPLOYMENT OFFICER
The SEND Employment Officer is an innovative role that will be a key element of the SEND Employment Project that commenced in August 2019. The aim of this project is to widen the route to employment by focusing on the delivery of Supported Internships within Lincolnshire and to create a local Employability Forum that will bring together all the local partners to support more young people with SEND into paid employment.

The SEND Employment Officer will support the project to achieve its aim of increasing sustained employment opportunities and improved employment outcomes by close work with educational settings, young people and their families, employees and other support agencies.

To be considered for this new and exciting role you will require a NVQ level 3 in Education/Health/Social Care/ / Careers Advice and Guidance. British Association for Supported Employment (BASE) Training in Systematic Instruction (TSI)/BASE Supported Employment techniques training are desirable but not essential.

You will also need experience of working with families, children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities and knowledge of relevant SEND legislation with a particular focus around preparing for adulthood and routes to employment.

If, in addition, you are well organised, have developed IT skills, good effective communication skills and are keen to develop a key employment role in the community then this could be the role for you.
