General Summary
If you are passionate about security and want to help to secure the smartphones and IoT devices used by billions of people worldwide, this is a great opportunity.
Working as part of our mobile security team, you will have the opportunity to use your skills and creativity in the development of state of the art device security for future chipsets in the Qualcomm portfolio.
Your day to day work will include designing and developing software for SOC security firmware, ARM TrustZone and embedded targets using an RTOS.

You should be passionate about the craft of software engineering with an excellent understanding of device hardware and/or embedded development. You will also need to bring a great deal of creativity, good communication and excellent problem-solving skills.
We are looking for engineers who are highly self-motivated, but who love to work collaboratively and build relationships of trust within and outside Qualcomm.
Desirable Skills Include
- Very strong programming in C or C++, with an understanding of how to avoid common security pitfalls.
- Exposure to scripting languages such as Python, Tcl and/or Perl.
- Software Configuration Management tools, such as GIT, SVN, Perforce, etc.
- Demonstrated ability to ship good quality code into commercial embedded products.
- An interest in, and understanding of, the techniques typically used to attack software running on devices.
- Ability to absorb and understand complex specifications quickly.
- Demonstrated experience in implementing open standards.
- Strong social and collaborative engineering skills.
