Role Overview

This is a new role, created to provide operational delivery of Business Protection working in partnership with the NHS Supply Chain. The role of the NHS Security Operations Manager will support the national and contract wide delivery of a robust Security and Business Protection solution, minimising risk and ensuring regulatory compliance across the NHS Supply Chain Network.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all elements of the layered security provision for a small portfolio and the wider contract support.
  • Manage security related projects from conception to realization.
  • Undertaking security investigations and implementing corrective action plans.
  • Engage with key business stakeholders to deliver effective security solutions aligned to business risk, contractual, legislative & regulatory compliance standards.
  • Undertaking gap and risk analysis of physical security infrastructure and supporting processes.
  • To constantly review processes and procedures for security risks, use of best practice for cost effective loss prevention solutions and to eliminate risk.

About you
  • Previous security experience at an operational management level
  • Ability to manage a varied workload, conflicting deadlines and multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience in prioritising own workload around tight deadlines in a pressurised environment.
  • Experience of successfully implementing security related projects.
  • Proven experience of effectively managing security colleagues.
