Are you passionate about ensuring the safety and enjoyment of event customers? Do you have excellent communication and problem-solving skills? We are currently seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our team as Event Security officers at the Southbank Centre.

As an Event Security Officer, you will be joining an amazing team of dedicated event security that work a huge variety of events across the Southbank footprint. You will work collaboratively with the internal teams and site security teams to bring the best possible security culture to the area.

Key Responsibilities will include:

  • Provide a visible and reassuring presence at events, deterring and responding to any security threats or disruptive behaviour
  • Perform bag checks and entry screening procedures to maintain the safety and security of all attendees
  • Monitor crowd behaviour and promptly address any potential conflicts or disturbances
  • Respond to medical emergencies and assist with crowd control if necessary
  • Work closely with the venue staff, event managers, and Event Security Manager to ensure the smooth execution of security protocols
  • Maintain accurate incident reports and communicate any notable incidents or observations.
  • Provide excellent customer service and assist customers with any inquiries or concerns.
  • Take part in an induction to familiarise with the event footprint.

The ideal candidate must have:

  • Front-line SIA licence
  • Outstanding customer service skills
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Training in ACT, SCaN and ED&I
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Good radio etiquette.

Any of the below would also be desirable:

  • Previous experience in event security.
  • Knowledge of crowd management and emergency response procedures.
  • Strong observational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Apply nowe are seeking a Security Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our premises, assets, staff, and visitors. The position requires a strong attention to detail and the ability to remain calm under pressure.

Duties:
- Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain security of premises
- Conduct regular patrols of the property to ensure safety and security
- Respond to alarms and investigate disturbances
- Write reports of daily activities and irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences
- Monitor CCTV cameras to ensure the safety and security of the premises
- Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years old
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Prior experience in loss prevention or security preferred
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
