We are recruiting for a Security Control Support within the Currency Division of De La Rue. The successful candidate will be responsible for the storage and audit of all materials required for De La Rue Design across the entire De La Rue portfolio ensuring reconciliation at key points (track and trace). This will include materials required for the design and origination of banknotes, security products and holograms.
They will also carry out security material audits as required and report security breaches and internal noncompliance to the Security Lead and manage expectations of all customers of Design internal and external, supporting the Commercial and Operations functions where necessary.
Secure Material Management
Receipt and control of all materials required for design process from factory.
Receipt and control of customer materials, making sure all materials signed for by the customer are present and booked into the barcode system.
Balance and issue proofing paper received from site. Reference progressives and proofs before issue to Sales.
Issue materials to all areas of the business, including key requests from Central Planning.
Co-ordinate delivery of materials to other sites via site security guards. Liaise with Central Planning regarding collection of materials.
Act as control huntsman for contingency materials held offsite. Maintain up to date banknotes, master machine proofs and specimen notes.
Reissue specimen albums to sales following completion of new notes / amendments.
Escalate potential security breaches.
Physical Security
Weekly security walk around to ensure clear desk policy compliance.
Conduct monthly security audit for members of staff holding secure materials.
Complete security breach documents and issue to relevant manager.
Additional Responsibilities
Drive Lean manufacturing by implementing more efficient ways of working, challenging existing processes or identifying improved equipment.
Ensure business continuity through effective process management
Liaise with Central planning to ensure factory requirements are met
Liaise with Project Management and Sales teams to ensure customer requirements are fulfilled
