At Reed Education we are working alongside a successful, over-subscribed secondary school in Maidenhead. They are looking to take on a teaching assistant from September to help students with English lessons and to support pupils in English in different lessons in KS3 and KS4.

This is a lively, energetic and friendly school where academic excellence is combined with fun and achievement in all parts of the school curriculum. Students are encouraged to develop an open mind and a creative approach to life and learning.

The role is to support the English department with finding good quality resources, researching and preparation of lessons as well as helping with school projects in English. Your role is also to support students across KS3 and KS4 in lessons, sometimes in groups and at other time on a 1-1 basis. A good You will ideally either be a graduate with a good level in English or have an A level in English.

You will be asked to support the teacher by teaching students the importance of respecting others’ views and listening to different arguments. You will be encouraging young people to think independently and challenge each others’ ideas.

The ideal candidate will have excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as an interest in English lessons in general. You must be able to support in English language and grammar and have experience of supporting students who require help with this.

The school are looking to take someone on with a friendly, outgoing personality and someone ready to work with secondary aged Teens !
