We are looking for an experienced Receptionist/Clerical Assistant to join the our administrative team supporting the undergraduate and MSc (TPG) teaching activities in the D’Arcy Thompson Unit at the School of Life Sciences. In this role you will undertake a wide variety of general and administrative tasks.

This is a 2-year fixed term part-time position with the following hours:
  • 25 hrs per week (0.69 FTE) working from 9.00 am-2.00 pm Monday-Friday
  • Term time only
Key Tasks Include
  • First point of contact for all undergraduate students and visitors to the building
  • Processing orders and maintaining stationery stocks
  • Maintenance of staff/student identification card system using Sateon
  • Manage the Reception generic email address account
  • Provide general clerical assistance as required by staff
Who We’re Looking For
  • Experience of Microsoft Office, including excel and powerpoint
  • Experience of working in a busy Reception or an equivalent role
  • Exceptional organisational skills
  • Must have a professional, friendly approach with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multi-task and have a proactive approach
