Job Description

We are very proud to be working with this well- known distributor of laboratory and scientific equipment.

The goods are sold to the NHS, Universities, Research Establishments etc. throughout the UK and Europe. The Company has about 11 people based at the site daily. However, they are part of a larger organisations that have sites globally including America, Canada, the UK and Europe.
The Sales Office Administrator will be working in a team of 4 and managing the orders and enquiries that come through via the telephone, via the website and via the Sales Team based in Sheffield.
The hours of work are 8.45am to 5pm Monday to Thursday and 8.45 am to 4pm on a Friday with 45 minutes for Lunch and working Monday to Friday.
As the Sales Office Administrator (Sales Order Administrator) you will manage both customers and internal queries, deal with client orders until they are successfully received and managed the deliveries.
The position calls for someone with excellent customer liaison skills with very good keyboard skills and outstanding attention to detail. Using a CRM package now that will transfer to SAP later this year.

The role will include:
  • Processing orders via email or phone
  • Answering calls and managing customers and enquiries
  • Checking data accuracy in orders and invoices
  • Contacting clients to obtain missing information or answer queries
  • Liaising with the Logistics department regarding deliveries
  • Maintaining and updating sales and customer records
  • Internal communication of customer feedback
  • Invoicing
  • Filing
Ideally you will have the following experience and skills:
  • Previous experience in a Sales administrator role
  • Opera knowledge
  • Able to multitask
  • To work within a busy office environment
The role offers a salary of £24,000 plus 25 days holiday plus Bank Holidays, free parking, eligibility to the private medical scheme, 4 x Life Assurance and a contributory pension scheme (NEST). It’s a very friendly office environment with a warehouse attached to the building and you will become an integral part of the operation.
