Job Description

Are you a driven, proactive Sales Manager ready for the next step in your sales career? We have a fantastic opportunity for you to join our Sales team in the UK. Applied Medical is well established in Europe and have reached many successes through our outstanding portfolio and solid business model.

In this role you will be responsible for managing the sales team in the UK. You will manage a Team of Regional Sales Managers. You will analyze business trends, identify, and prioritize opportunities, formulate, and implement sales strategies. This way, you will contribute to achieving sales targets in the UK while interfacing with all executive level customers in both clinical and procurement environments within hospitals.

You will be expected to travel extensively within the UK to the different sales regions and occasionally to our European headquarter in The Netherlands. You will report to the Senior Director Field Implementation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct and manage a team of Regional Sales Managers in achieving the sales targets in various regions within the UK
  • Establishing and implementing a sales/business strategy plan for the UK
  • Managing new developments in the national healthcare landscape and formulate the sales strategy accordingly
  • Regular 1:1 meetings with your team to support and advice on current customers, ensure proper project planning and prioritizing of sales opportunities and prospects
  • Arranging appointments and developing and keeping strong relationships with various stakeholders
  • Understand new developments in NHS and adapt impacts on the business and adapt strategy accordingly
  • Establishing specific and measurable objectives to be able to review performance, individual development and to provide a clear base for territory managers recognition
  • Manage the monitoring of competitor activities and products to anticipate on potential impacts on the business

Requirements
  • Bachelors+ degree level of education
  • 8 + years’ experience with surgical device sales, medical devices and/or marketing in the Operating Room
  • 5 + years’ experience in a sales management position managing a team
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken
  • Willing to be in the field to inspire the team members to reach a high level of performance
  • Strategic thinker with a bottom-line focus and high impact communication
  • Preferably located in the England area
