Due to continued growth, a business specialising in the import and distribution of European capital plant equipment is looking to appoint a Sales Manager to join their small internal sales team.

Taking the lead on an internal sales team, the successful Sales Manager will respond to email, website and telephone enquiries, offering technical support and knowledge to help customers choose the best solution for them. Whilst mainly office based, this role requires occasional site visits and exhibition attendance, to help promote and grow the business through new and existing accounts.

Salary - Up to 40K (dep on exp)

Established over 20 years ago as a family run business, the MD never dreamed the company would have grown to where it is today. He now needs someone dedicated to managing the sales element of his role to allow him to focus on strategy within the business, steering it to continued success and expansion.

Sales Manager responsibilities

  • Actively seek out new sales opportunities and follow up on leads.
  • Provide technical support to customers and dealers.
  • Conduct product demonstrations and training sessions for dealers and customers.
  • Create and maintain sales reports and forecasts.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop effective sales materials.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and competitor products.

The ideal Sales Manager will be an experienced technical sales person from a manufacturing / engineering business, or, someone with a technical / mechanical background who is looking to make a move into sales. Either way, you will be able to converse technically with a varied customer base, understanding and promoting the product range and accompanying attachments and spare parts.
