Streamline Search are currently working with a rapidly growing market leader in the Freight & Logistics industry actively seeking a proven and established Business Development Manager to drive and generate New Business for the company.Our client is a Skelmersdale based company and offer a full range of cargo and freight distribution including small parcel and carton delivery daily for all UK pallet delivery services. They offer unrivalled fast pace and dedicated logistics operations and have extensive growth plans meaning the progression and development opportunities within this role really are uncapped.Business Development / Sales Manager - Position Overview- Promote and sell palletised freight.
- Research and understand customer needs and match with a solution.
- You will be required to generate your own leads to pursue, in addition to researching your region, identifying potential opportunities, and booking your own meetings.
- You must be a good prospector who is willing and able to develop new business from scratch. Self-management and organisational skills are key.
- You must be enthusiastic, self-motivated, and ambitious as well as presentable, with good sales training and a full understanding and appreciation of the sales process.
- Produce professional reports and presentations to board level standard and create new improved working methods within the sales cycle.
- Work closely with the local Operations Management team. Create, design, and implement new ways of selling and promoting services.
- Proven experience selling in the Freight Forwarding market.
- Knowledge of International freight markets (multi-modal)
- Desire to work for a rapidly growing market leader.
- UK driving licence - Essential.
- Willing to go out and gain new business (UK wide)
- Connections & industry relationships (highly desirable)
- Account Management & relationship building qualities are essential.
- Basic salary £42,000 - £46,000 (DOE)
- Bonus structure to be discussed at interview stage.
- Car Allowance of £6,000 per annum.
- Mobile & Laptop provided.
- 30 days holiday, including bank holidays.
