Job title:Project Accountant (R2R) - 12 to 18-month fixed term contract

Base location:Currently work from home, Hook based 2-3 days weekly on safe return to offices

As a global FTSE 250 company with over 500 contracts across 20 countries we rely on the support of our Group Reporting Team to keep the business running smoothly and efficiently.

As the Project Accountant (Record to Report / RTR / R2R) you will provide the Group Reporting team at Serco support in implementing a plan which aims improve the reporting framework within the Group. The plan, amongst other things, includes the development of training programmes, general housekeeping within the financial systems, improvements in management and contract reporting and the development of a resource library to document key activities which take place within the Group’s reporting process. In this role, you would be responsible for a broad range of deliverables within the project.

What You’ll Need To Do The Role

This role requires someone who is ideally a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA equivalent), with a background in Finance and Process Improvement ideally within a Group/Divisional Head Office/Financial Reporting team. Some experience in the delivery of training programmes and good understanding of finance processes, risks, and controls is also necessary, along with up to date knowledge of IFRS accounting standards.
