An assignment is available for a Risk Manager, this opportunity is a permanent position based in Plymouth.

We are hiring an ambitious and forward-thinking associate director with defence and nuclear experience to join an established and diverse team.

The role will be the recognised lead for project controls reporting of medium to high complexity projects or programmes. The role will direct and manage a team of professionals delivering project controls services and be responsible for staff development.

The role will be responsible for ensuring effective and efficient use of Power BI and associated products.

Your Responsibilities Will Include

Defining specific project controls methods, techniques and tools.

Devising strategies, alternatives and recommendations for effective delivery solutions to meet client needs.

Assessing and defining reporting strategy.

Building and leading a team of reporting specialists including hiring and firing team members.

Having the authority to bid.

Providing internal line management and prioritisation of workloads.

Interacting with clients and other stakeholders to ensure that goals and objectives are being met.

Identifying potential opportunities for future business.

Establishing and maintaining excellent working relationships with other specialists.

Managing the networks with peer project teams, consultant organisations, client organisations, industry and trade associations, suppliers and professional bodies.

Participating in civic and business organisations and trade networks.About you

You have degree qualifications. You are an expert in the implementation of EVM and total cost management. You have mastery in setting up effective project controls systems and procedures. You have expert knowledge of project controls tools and software e.g. MS Project, PRA, portfolio software, Primavera 6 and acumen fuse.

You can build lasting relationships and lead strong, motivated teams. You will have PMO experience in a consultancy background.

Due to the nature of the business the ideal candidate may need to obtain UK security clearance.
