Job Description

We’re currently looking for a Maintenance Delivery Manager to be accountable for the safe, efficient and effective delivery of the services and activities defined and scoped within the Maintenance and Events Contract. Key functions within the role include; manage and coordinate all works on a “Start To Finish Basis” utilising the manpower and services provided by the multidiscipline contract and engineering teams, lead and drive the team such that the “Spirit of Continuous Improvement” is fostered and adopted, manage delivery of categories of work within the scope include Planned Maintenance / Codal Inspections, Minor Modifications, Events, and Breakdown Remediation.
Success in the role will be best demonstrated by balancing and optimizing the key relationships that exist between Cost, Quality and Schedule certainty delivered with a culture of safety, trust, openness and honesty that are reflected by improvements in the maintenance KPI’s and measures.
Key Accountabilities and Activities
Set the styles and standards for the delivery of HSE Performance Excellence
Occupy the role to the full and in doing so be a key member of the contract leadership team
Support the Contract Manager and Senior Leadership Team in the attainment of KPI performance within the Contract target parameters.
Challenge “The Norm and be an agent for change”
Provide a consistent clear line management style, give direction, coordinate and set priorities for direct reports as shown on organisation chart
Promote the use of “Visual Management Techniques” that clearly and simply highlight the performance of the team
Understand own and drive improvements in the contract KPI’s and associated QCD triage
Embrace the concept and spirit of the NEC Contract and Site Systems and Process Detailed within it e.g., MEMS
Serve as the focal point for the delivery of activities closely interfacing with key client stake holder’s e.g., Maintenance Managers and Engineers.
Assume accountability for compilation and delivery of maintenance schedules and ensure team responsibilities are honoured
Foster within the team the importance the delivering the agreed schedule “Compile, Protect and Deliver the One Plan”
Adopt the role of KPI Champion as per TOR for Weekly Performance Review
Monitor and improve the performance of the all team members by ensuring robust implementation of the company appraisals process
Ensure each team member has clear roles and responsibilities that are operating effectively
Clearly communicate the importance and relevant sections of the “Contract Arrangement Plan and Interface Document”
Recognise and differentiate the key and critical activities contained in the “Issued Schedules / Plans” and ensure the team delivers responsibly
Ritualise the use of performance measures and reviews in appropriate meetings to ensure swift remediation to disruptions in performance
Apply robust control measures and process to appropriate capture changes and appropriately mitigate risk
Develop and communicate deadlines, monitor progress and control costs such that surprizes in any are avoided
It should be noted that the duties included within this role may be subject to change in an appropriate and reasonable manner.Experience
Experience in a similar role, within the Petrochemical/Refinery sector
Background in ‘Line Management’ of Multi Discipline teams
