Job title: Site Manager Location: Haydock (Additional site travel to client sites will be required) Employment: Permanent Salary: £45,000 (Negotiable depending on experience) + benefits Industry: Various – Oil and Gas, Chemical, Manufacturing Role: Our client a leading industrial services provider has an excellent opportunity for a Site Manager to join the UK Plastics team to oversee the successful delivery of Site works from initiation, through engineering, procurement, construction and into handover. Key activities Managing Site works safely, ensuring that all EHS&Q requirements are met in all phases Managing Site works – Plant breakdowns/callouts, maintenance and Projects to scope, schedule, cost and quality Ensuring the Site works are properly commercially managed – profit margin, cash flow/invoicing, customer approvals Managing the performance of key suppliers and subcontractors ensuring appropriate commercial arrangements are applied. Ownership of the baseline schedule and control estimate, ensuring it is kept upto date with agreed changes Ownership of site works progress reporting including the % complete, reported actuals, forecast AFC, Earned Value and agreed changes. Build effective Site teams and manage resources ensuring that adequate levels are maintained to ensure the schedule is met and high workforce productivity is maintained throughout Ensuring adequate Site controls are employed for risk management and change control Ensuring company quality systems are effectively applied throughout the project Act as the main interface with the Customer ensuring high levels of satisfaction maintained Actively participate in budget /cost/ resource forecasting to ensure growth and profitability Experience Strong leadership & influencing skills Supply fabrication and Installation of GRP Pipe work and Vessels with a knowledge of BS 7159 and BS 4994 Supply fabrication and Installation of GRE Pipe work ISO14692 Supply fabrication and Installation of Thermo-Plastic Pipe work and vessels Delivering engineering projects on operating COMAH plants/brownfield sites 10+ years experience of delivering engineering projects in a process related industry Direct management of a full multidiscipline project team Managing subcontractors e.g. demolition, fabrication, civil works Managing Customer interface and relationship Commercial awareness and contract management Excellent knowledge of managing all main project phases i.e. front end, detailed design, construction & commissioning phases
