Reward and Benefits Partner

In this critical role as Reward and Benefits Partner, you will be responsible for leading the execution of the Harrods reward and benefits strategy. You will have influence across the organisation and partner with specific business areas from a compensation perspective. You will take the lead in ensuring our approach to reward is appropriate for the retention and attraction of top talent. You will manage our benefits programmes and pro-actively contribute to the development of our total reward strategy as part of our Employee Value Proposition. You will be passionate about Harrods and driven to create exceptional employee experiences.

About you

You will act as a Reward Subject Matter Expert and business partner, with a depth of understanding that enables the provision of tailored, comprehensive advice on all reward matters. You will be able to develop compensation strategies which are distinct for parts of the business, but with the breadth of thinking to unify the strategy across the organisation when appropriate.

You will understand job families, grading structures, and market benchmarking, having experience on implementing and embedding these models in large organisations. You will understand pay and bonus cyclical processes and have in-depth knowledge of running these cycles through HR systems.

You will have detailed knowledge of benefits and be passionate about keeping abreast of the external landscape and industry best practice. You will be able to manage third parties and negotiate valued contracts with our vendors. You will take a lead in the design and delivery of our communication and engagement strategy from a benefits perspective, driving the uptake of existing benefits and ensuring the toward reward offering is understood and highly valued.

You will be able to prepare high quality papers on Reward and Benefit matters and be proficient in presenting and engaging to an Executive and senior audience.

More specifically you will have:

  • Strong business acumen with an ability to link business strategy to people practices.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to get into the detail while understanding the bigger picture.
  • An inquisitive and challenging mind, with an interest in questioning and improving the “as is”.
  • Advanced Excel skills and the ability to work with and manipulate large data sets comfortably.
  • Ability to manage and deliver in parallel multiple projects and tasks across a broad range of areas.
  • Strong communication skills, experience of liaising with and influencing senior stakeholders.
  • Project management and delivery capability
