We have an exciting opportunity for a Reward Analyst to join our team. As a Reward Analyst, you’ll provide reward advice and HR data reporting, and support the Reward & Performance Manager with reward admin and HR Metrics, contributing to the development & implementation of Southern Co-op’s reward provision.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Provide day-to-day support for reward processes including: salary review, bonus calculation, benefits administration, benchmarking and recognition schemes
  • Manage all aspects of our company Car fleet including ordering, hire cars, fuel cards and driving licence checking
  • Assist / Lead on Reward & Performance projects including policy development and new process implementation, providing advice & guidance to HR colleagues
  • Analyse, question and interpret HR data to provide HR insights and actionable Management Information
  • Ensure high quality benchmarked Total Reward market analysis is available
  • Maintain and track the Reward cycle calendar to ensure activities are begun and completed effectively
  • Actively keep abreast of developments in the external Reward market through reading, networking and participation in ad hoc surveys.
  • Deputise for the Reward & Performance Manager when required

KEY EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

Essential

    • Analytical skills, with the ability to interpret and produce high quality, accurate management information
    • Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel at intermediate level
    • Knowledge of HR & Reward
    • Able to work on your own and within a team, building effective working relationships with internal & external stakeholders
    • Experience or understanding of Job evaluation & bench marking practices
    • Experience of operating with highly confidential and sensitive information with tact and diplomacy
    • Able to communicate technical information to non-technical users clearly and concisely
    • Experience of reviewing, implementing and maintaining efficient systems and processes
    • Effective planning and organisation skills, with the ability to prioritise effectively when under pressure and demonstrate excellent attention to detail

Desirable

  • Retail knowledge
  • CIPD qualification or studying
  • Experience of preparing job evaluations using Hay methodology
  • Experience of using Bond Team Spirit software
