AECOM is recruiting for individuals with civil or mechanical engineering and construction experience to support our long-held NEC Supervisor Framework with Welsh Water. You will be working with our multi-disciplinary team of Engineers and Supervisors to provide quality assurance across the entirety of Welsh Water’s Capital Delivery programme. Projects include the construction and upgrade of water and wastewater treatment plants, water and sewerage networks, and reservoir and dam infrastructure. You will have a keen interest in assuring the highest quality workmanship, from design through to handover.

Main duties:
+ Proactive engagement on schemes to aid prevention, management and mitigation of quality issues including defects.

+ Monitoring the construction and installation of the works to confirm that it is compliant with the Works Information.

+ Liaison with all project parties including Contractor, Welsh Water Project Manager and Welsh Water Operations teams to aid successful delivery of the schemes.

+ Collaboration with colleagues within the project team to maintain AECOM’s high standards of service.

+ Working with AECOM and Welsh Water colleagues to provide meaningful knowledge-sharing and to maximise the impact of ‘lessons learnt’.

+ Preparation of reports regarding site activities and provision of data relating to delivered quality.

Minimum Requirements

+ Relevant experience of working as a NEC Supervisor, Resident Engineer, Civil Engineer, Mechanical Engineer or similar within a regulated-industry environment, preferably the water industry.

+ Demonstrable experience of overseeing or reviewing the quality of fabricated, installed and constructed elements of work.

+ Understanding of constructability and operability requirements within design.

+ Proven experience of developing good working relationship with colleagues, clients, contractors, key stakeholders and the supply chain.

+ Ability to deliver project work to programme, cost and quality requirements.

+ Ability to take full responsibility for producing, checking and approving technical deliverables e.g. inspection reports.

+ An enthusiastic and collaborative approach to your work, demonstrating the relevant behaviours and work ethos to solve client and project problems.

+ Value and contribute to a strong Health and Safety culture.

Preferred Qualifications

+ Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline, or commensurate combination of experience and qualifications.

+ NEC Supervisor Accreditation.

+ Chartered or Incorporated Engineer, or be actively working towards this status.
