We have an exciting opportunity for a Reservationist to join our bustling Reservation team, in Knutsford.

The Mere Golf Resort & Spa is a destination for business and pleasure, with an 81 bedroomed hotel, expansive wedding and event spaces, Championship golf and an award-winning spa, set in the heart of the Cheshire countryside. Our luxury conference and event suites cater for up to 550 guests. As our Reservationist, you will be confident and have a professional manner towards both guests and team members. You will have excellent customer service skills, be enthusiastic and have the ability to easily establish rapport with guests over the phone. You will thrive in a fast paced environment, be organised and be able to prioritise your workload efficiently. Reporting into the Revenue Manager you will play a vital role in ensuring a seamless booking experience for our guests and ensure we consistently exceed their expectations.

The Reservationist Duties And Key Responsibilities Include
  • To be conversant and confident, with a professional manner, and have a clear and comprehensive knowledge of the Resort.
  • Maintain up to date knowledge of current and future availability at any given time as well as being fully aware of all daily events.
  • Record full and accurate details of guest requirements and bookings as per the Resort procedure.
  • Be aware of all short and long term marketing promotions.
  • Allocate and action special requests and rooms.
  • Co-ordinate the administration of special requests with relevant departments, ensuring all details are accurate and communicated accordingly.
  • Liaise with relevant departments with regards to the status of out-of-order and out-of-service.
  • Maintain and effectively utilise guest history profiles.
  • Be familiar with Telephone system and switchboard duties.
  • Identify and pass on to the Relevant Departmental Manager any potential problems and/or guest requests.
  • Ensure availability is reviewed on a daily basis and all restrictions are recorded.
  • Input all reservations according to standards in Opera, Jonas Activity Management System, and Avenista
  • Ensure all room rates, allotments and allocations are set up and recorded correctly.
  • Perform show rounds of the premises and facilities when required.
  • To work within the brand standards of The Mere Golf Resort and Spa, in conjunction with the parameters of the BDRC and AA Standards in order to drive improvements in business performance.
  • Inform the sales department about any possible leads, which could develop into future business.
Preferred Skills And Experience
  • Previous experience in a similar role or Receptionist background
  • Be passionate about hospitality and customer service
  • Has had previous training and use of Opera
