We wish to appoint a Research Assistant within the Autism Research Centre (ARC) at the University of Cambridge. The Research Assistant will work with another Research Assistant role holder and a Research Associate on the Longitudinal European Autism Project (LEAP) part of the AIMS-2-TRIALS research programme. This is a longitudinal study including of a cohort of 85 autistic and non-autistic people who have previously taken part in this project in Cambridge. Participants are currently being invited to take part in a third time point of this study. The research visit will include MRI, eye tracking, cognitive tasks, questionnaires, IQ tests, and interviews.

The Research Assistant will be responsible for day-to-day project administration, contacting and communicating with volunteers, scheduling appointments, carrying out the study protocol with participants, record keeping, managing data transfers, updating project logs, data entry, quality control procedures, maintaining approvals including ethics, and some statistical analyses.

The successful applicant will have a degree in Psychology or related science discipline, together with knowledge of coordinating a research project. Strong organisational and communication skills, attention to detail, time management skills, ability to work independently, and a strong level of competence in computing are essential. Understanding of research methods, basic statistics (e.g., use of SPSS or R), and data manipulation (e.g., Excel) are required.

Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available for 6 months in the first instance.
