Due to maternity leave, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Project Leader within the University of Cambridge Estates Division. The successful candidate will join the Project Section in delivering multi million pound new build and refurbishment projects.

The Project Section currently manage a programme of projects comprising of minor works and also major projects with an expenditure of between £150-200m/year on a variety of schemes including specialist laboratory space, teaching facilities and office space. Minor Works Projects typically range from £50k to £2m and Major Project to circa £100m.

Candidates should have excellent inter-personal and communications skills and sound knowledge of a project delivery, ideally in a complex user and multi stakeholder environment. In addition, candidates should have demonstrable experience in managing the commercial and cost management aspects of projects.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record in the delivery of projects a complex environment; experience in the Higher Education sector would be helpful but not essential. You should hold a degree or equivalent in a construction related discipline or have suitable alternative experience. You will also hold a suitable professional qualification or be working towards this. This role is subject to a Basic Disclosure and Security check
