Title:Repro CTP Operative– Bristol, UK

The Opportunity

The Repro & CTP operative’s key role is to maintain the supply of ready to print plates, while also having the ability to respond to customer requirements for artwork designs and mock-ups.

How You Will Impact WestRock
  • Booking in new work through the department.
  • Setting and stepping repro files ready to plate.
  • Checking of stepped files adhering to standard operating procedures.
  • Operating CTP device and checking of made plates.
  • Collating and storage of made plates and job-bags.
  • Repro process of new artwork.
  • Design of mock-ups and new graphics.
  • Operating GMG proofing device and calibration requirements.
  • Colour re-touching if required.
  • Liaising with internal colleagues and occasional visitors

What You Need To Succeed
  • Degree level education or equivalent experience.
  • Formal qualification in Repro, Stepping, Platemaking, Colour Re-touching.
  • High level of Artpro knowledge and experience essential
  • Experience in using Adobe Creative Suite, Photoshop and Illustrator.
  • Kodak Prinergy understanding desirable.
  • Knowledge of MAC systems applications and PC skills.
  • IOSH H&S Qualification or equivalent.
  • Packaging Background
  • Actively promoting a positive Health & Safety Culture
  • Ability to work within a small team, and independently.
