The Opportunity

The No.3 Printer is integral to the success of WestRock, working with the Printing team in Bristol that is currently going through a strong period of growth, the ability to adapt, be inquisitive and work closely with all departments and peers is crucial to the success of this role. The No.3 Printer assists the No.1 and No.2 operator in fully discharging their duties. They are also responsible for feeding the prime raw material ensuring optimum run speeds and maximising machine efficiencies with the minimum amount of waste.

How You Will Impact WestRock
  • Check primary resource board is available for production of next job.
  • Assist with the make ready of jobs on the machine.
  • Operate the feeder in accordance with the standard operating procedures.
  • Check each unprinted pallet load for quality & quantity, taking necessary corrective actions.
  • Assist in operating machine in a safe manner ensuring the safety of all employees.
  • Completion of paperwork associated with machine running.
  • Be responsible for the general cleanliness and housekeeping in and around machine area.
  • Pile turn and blow loads as required.
  • Assist in carrying out operator maintenances.

What You Need To Succeed
  • Microsoft Office packages experience.
  • Knowledge and experience as a plant operator - in an industrial / factory environment.
  • A strong appreciation of and regard for Quality and Safety.
  • Flexible working attitude and a strong team working approach.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
  • Knowledge of 5S to improve production environment.
  • Understanding of KPI’s to track performance.
