About The Role

Base Location:Tummel Bridge Workshop, Tummel Bridge by Pitlochry

Salary: Starting from £22,011 depending on skills and experience + performance-related bonus + a range of other benefits to support your family, finances and wellbeing.

Working Pattern: Permanent | Full Time | Flexible First options available

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who loves variety, beautiful scenery and is comfortable working outdoors and getting their hands dirty. You’ll take responsibility for a range of maintenance and inspection works at our power station, dams and buildings, helping us maintain the safety, efficiency and environmental impact of our hydro operations.

Some Of Your Main Responsibilities Will Include
  • Working on your own and collaboratively with others to identify and complete minor repairs, servicing and fixing defects.
  • Making decisions and working on your own initiative; knowing when to flag for support.
  • Supporting on a range of hydro environmental tasks - such as hill ditching, increasing storage capacity in small dams and clearing intake structures.
  • Carrying out risk assessments, environmental and safety inspections.
Overtime will be required as part of this role from time to time, so we’ll need you to be flexible and a strong team player.

Due to the nature of the role, you must live within reasonable travelling distance to the site, or be willing to relocate.

What do I need?

To be considered for this role, you’ll need a passion for working outdoors regardless of the weather. Due to the remote locations of some of our hydro sites, a full driving licence is also essential.

In addition to this, we’d also love you to have:
  • Hands-on experience in a similar role involving maintenance, inspection, and repairs.
  • A strong safety focus - if it’s not safe, we don’t do it.
  • The ability to undertake manual labour e.g. bending, lifting, digging, carrying, etc.
  • Willingness to learn new skills and develop in the role.
Applicants must reside or be prepared to relocate to within 30 miles of the listed site offered.
