Base Location: Flexible Scotland | We’re proud to offer a Flexible First approach to work, and this role is no exception. We will, however need your base ’home’ location to be one of our SSE offices or depots around UK.

Salary: £33,500-£50,300 depending on skills and experience + performance-related bonus + a range of other benefits to support your family, finances and wellbeing

What is the Role?

This is an exciting opportunity to join the SSE Renewables Projects Services team to support the development and construction of a portfolio of onshore wind, offshore wind and hydro projects. As Project Planner, you’ll provide planning and scheduling services for projects using Primavera P6.

Some Of Your Main Accountabilities Will Include
  • Producing Integrated Master Schedules with integration of Contractor programmes.
  • Identifying critical path and ensure potential delays to critical activities are identified and mitigated.
  • Providing Project Management with analysis of schedule delay impacts and mitigation strategies.
  • Reviewing programme submissions from EPC Contractors (Schedule Quality, Delay Events etc).
  • Establishing the Programme Baseline and monitor monthly performance and variance analysis.
  • Running ’what-if’ Planning/Programme scenarios.
What do I need?

To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:
  • Demonstrable Project Planning experience, working with large, multi-contract Engineering and Construction projects, including building fully integrated complex activity networks.
  • Proficiency in planning methods and highly skilled in Primavera P6.
  • Commercial Awareness and knowledge of construction contracting structures (e.g. NEC3/4).
  • Outstanding communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills.
  • Understanding of Energy projects, particularly in onshore or offshore wind would be beneficial.
  • This role may require travel to either our Perth or Glasgow office as and when required by allocated Projects so access to reliable transport is essential.
