Firmwide Regulatory Learning

The Firmwide Regulatory Learning team is responsible for management and execution of the Regulatory and Compliance training and awareness strategy in support of JPMorgan Chase’s global Compliance and Regulatory agenda. We are part of the HR Talent and Career Experience Team.

The Regulatory Learning team works closely with the business and subject matter experts to identify, design and deliver appropriate learning solutions to JPMorgan Chase stakeholders and workforce members globally across the firm.

Training managed by Regulatory Learning is heavily scrutinized by Regulators globally. In addition to designing solutions for identified training needs, the Team supports Regulator, Audit, and Control team requests related to external exams and internal reviews.

Key Responsibilities Of This Role

The ideal candidate must fully understand the end-to-end training lifecycle and day-to-day operating model of the Firmwide Regulatory Learning team to be effective. This includes governing policies and procedures and systems/tools (how they work and issues that could impact data), to understand incoming requests and respond in a meaningful way.

As Part Of This Role, You Will
  • Interpret internal and external training requests related to Regulatory exams, Audits, and Control reviews
  • Produce required information/responses, perform data analysis, and provide explanations for review with impacted partners across the Firmwide Regulatory Learning team
  • Work in partnership with Line of Business (LOB) Compliance Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and LOB Learning Partners to determine if LOB owned/functional training should be included in responses to training requests
  • Formulate program related responses explaining the Firmwide Regulatory Learning team training lifecycle, from needs assessment to assignment, reporting, and escalation
  • Partner across the Firmwide Regulatory Learning team to understand key data for inquiry responses
  • Help to streamline responses by creating repeatable processes and maintaining a library of key information
Qualifications
  • Regulatory/Compliance and Controls/Audit related experience
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, communication and relationship management skills, and ability to effectively interact with all levels of management
  • Ability to think on your feet, anticipate follow-up questions from Regulators and Auditors, and clearly articulate key messages and strategies
  • Ability to work quickly to respond to inquiries, without sacrificing quality (final Regulatory responses are due to Regulators within 48 hours of receipt)
  • Experience working with and responding to senior Regulators and Auditors, and Control teams
  • Creative and strategic thinker with a strong control mindset
  • Strong project management and organizational skills, and ability to think broadly about processes end-to-end with ability to ’connect the dots’ for Regulators, Auditors and Control teams
  • Excellent judgement and decision-making skills
  • PC competence, especially MS applications (Word, Excel & PowerPoint)
